Piano bench cover. Chopin's Polonaise was my father's favorite piece of piano music. I hand stitched using tapestry wool, to replicate part of the score.

Hand knitted, Shetland Hap Shawl designed by Gudrun Johnson. Wooden frame is hand made for shaping and blocking.

Details of pegs and frame. The string temporarily attached to the hap, are strung around the pegs to create the pointed border.

Poetry mittens, inspired by a 19th century mitten in the Smithsonian. The Tatter Blue Library in NYC recreated these as a knit-a-long project, telling a story through textiles. Comprised of several lines from 5 different poets, it speaks from the perspective of several voices.

Tree of Life Square. This became the center square of a blanket given to the families involved in the bombing of the TOL synagogue October 2018. My aunts best friend, lost both of her sons in the bombing. The half of the "tree" represents one of brothers, and when joined, completes the tree. Knitting each half separately was intentional.

Over 1,000 squares were donated to make 50 blankets. This blanket, with my TOL square, went to the mother of the 2 sons who were killed.
